We support Mothers' Union's annual campaign, “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence” which runs from 25th November until Human Rights Day on 10th December. Here is a suggested plan for each of your 16 days of activism

RISE UP against domestic abuse

RISE UP

RISE UP Against Domestic Abuse is our campaign to raise awareness about domestic abuse across the Britain and Ireland movement.

The letters of RISE UP stand for Respond, Inform, Support, Empower, Unite and Pray.

Domestic abuse can happen to anyone from any walk of life. It's our goal that Mothers' Union members and churches will work together to be a part of the change and will get involved with our RISE UP! challenge.

There are bronze, silver and gold awards for branches and churches who take part and complete various actions, as we work together to raise critical awareness and take action against domestic abuse, in whatever form it takes.

Raising Awareness

These are activities which branches regularly participate in during the 16 days of activism. If your branch does any of these things, please remember to post about it on social media.

For the 16 days of Activism against Gender Based Violence you might like to knit one purple heart and two white hearts to signify 1 in 3. There is a pattern here
